Dan Jones from Chichester, West Sussex is a highly experienced, qualified and insured professionally accredited Clinical Hypnotherapist with 20 years experience, He has authored over ten books on Hypnosis, Therapy and Self Help including Amazon number one bestsellers 'Advanced Ericksonian Hypnotherapy Scripts' and 'Take Control of Your Life', and is registered with 'The General Hypnotherapy Register'. Dan also has Asperger's Syndrome (a high-functioning form of autism) and has written a best-selling book about his personal and professional experiences and knowledge 'Look Into My Eyes'.
Dan focuses on helping clients to feel as comfortable as possible to make therapy as effective as possible. To achieve this; therapy sessions are often carried out in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Dan also teaches a range of courses including one of the UK's most advanced and comprehensive GHSC (General Hypnotherapy Standards Council) accredited Hypnotherapy training courses based on twenty years of learning and experience of therapy with many hundreds of clients presenting with problems from anxiety and depression, to phobias and relationship or family difficulties, from anger and sleep problems, to pain and psychosomatic problems. Dan has also helped people with Cancer (pain management, quality of life, sickness), Essential Tremors, Tourettes, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and common problems presented to Hypnotherapists like smoking and weight loss.

One of the things that makes Chichester Hypnotherapist Dan Jones different to other Hypnotherapists is his training and experience. Many courses are short and don't include 'real' client sessions as a part of the training. In contrast the training Dan received involved having to take two qualifying courses prior to a year long Diploma course in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy with Uncommon Knowledge at Brighton University, Brighton that included having to do 'real' client sessions which were observed by other students and a qualified, experienced assessor. Students weren't told what problem the client had until they asked the client. This ensured that all students that pass the course were confident and effective therapists; and unlike many other courses not everyone manages to pass the course.

Dan also undertook a Diploma course with British Hypnosis Research at Roehampton University, London in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) that included over 120 units and exams and over 120 assignments, requiring the writing of around 100,000 words, 800 hours of online study, 20 hours of audio study, over 1000 pages of reading material and over 80 hours of practical training.

As well as these two courses over twenty years of doing Hypnotherapy Dan has undertaken many courses in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Human Givens Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Meditation and Mindfulness, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Relaxation Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and various forms of Psychotherapeutic Practice and he continues to attend further training and personal development to ensure that he can always offer clients the best service possible. Dan has also trained in Clinical Supervision with an accredited British Psychological Society training.

Dan also has extensive experience. He began working in the caring profession in 1997 working with adults with mental health, learning and developmental disabilities including schizophrenia, manic depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and autism. He also worked with children and young people with challenging behaviour in residential care homes (where he also helped to set up a therapeutic children's home). Many of the children had oppositional defiance disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and autism/Asperger's. He then moved into parenting and family work, including managing teams of parenting & family support workers. He supported parents with children and teens who were committing anti-social behaviour and youth crime to help those parents to stop their children continuing to do anti-social behaviour & youth crime, and supported families around family relationships, child/teen to parent violence and abuse, getting parents back into work, helping families stop their anti-social behaviour, getting children back into school, and helping family members with their mental health, and more. Dan has also spent since 2002 working with clients for personal development, performance enhancement, depression and anxiety disorders, and addictions, and more, as well as offering training around hypnosis, therapy, parenting and family support, breakaway and safety awareness, and conflict resolution.

Dan also teaches a 'Diploma in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, Humanistic Solution Focused Psychotherapy and Ideo-Dynamic 'Psycho-Cellular' Healing' which comprises of 144 hours of classroom tuition and over 450 hours  of additional required study. He has taught many therapists as well as carrying out research, running therapeutic groups, training courses and holding talks in the UK and abroad, and working on other research projects and media projects and writing articles and books, including a chapter for Professor Ursula James third edition 'Clinical Hypnosis Textbook, which is the textbook for many hypnotherapy diploma and degree courses.
